Remote access
Open a device in the remote-control tool you already use (ScreenConnect, Splashtop, TeamViewer, MeshCentral) from its page.
Updated
On this page
Revo doesn't replace your remote-control tool: it opens the right device in it. Set up a link once, and every device's page gets a Remote access button.
Set up a link
Owners and admins: Settings → Remote access → Add link. Give it a name and the address your tool uses to open one computer, with placeholders where the device's details go:
| Placeholder | Filled with |
|---|---|
{hostname} | The computer's host name |
{name} | Its name in Revo |
{serial} | Its serial number (agent 0.10 and later) |
{device_id} | Its id in Revo |
{customer}, {customer_id} | Its customer's name and id |
For example, ScreenConnect:
https://acme.screenconnect.com/Host#Access/All%20Machines//{hostname}/Join
The link must start with https:// and your tool's own address; placeholders go after the address, and each value
is encoded so a device's name can't change where the link goes. Write spaces as %20. You can add up to ten links.
Open a device
On a device's page, click Remote access (or pick the tool, when there are several). The tool opens in a new tab. Who opened which device, and with which link, is recorded in the audit log.
Technicians, admins and owners can open remote access; analysts can't. The button only shows for customers with RevoRMM on.
