Network discovery
Find printers, switches, cameras and computers without RevoAgent on a customer's network, on demand or on a schedule.

RMM → Network discovery keeps a list of what's on each customer's network. One of the customer's computers (RevoAgent 0.11, ideally one that's always on) does the scanning.
Profiles
A profile names the ranges to scan, the ports to try, an optional SNMP community (v2c, kept encrypted), the device that scans and how often: when you press Scan, or every hour, six hours, day or week.
Ranges must be private (10/8, 172.16/12, 192.168/16 or 100.64/10) and cover at most 1,024 addresses in all. The scanning device checks the same limits itself, so it can't be used to scan the internet.
What it finds
Each host that answers: its address, hardware (MAC) address, name, vendor, open ports and SNMP name, and the managed device it is when RevoAgent runs there. Only without RevoAgent shows what still needs the agent or a manual record. Vendors come from the public IEEE registry for common business-network makers; phones and laptops that randomise their hardware address show "Randomised address".
The first scan fills the list quietly. After that, devices it hasn't seen before raise one event per scan, "New devices on a network". It's off unless you turn it on in your notification settings.
