Change tracking
See what improved and what regressed on each device and customer, with trends and a progress report.
Updated
Revo compares every device report with the previous one and records findings opening and closing, so you can see progress (or slippage) without digging. It's for your MSP team only; portal users get the client Progress report instead.
A device's history
Open a device and choose Activity. Detected changes read like this:
- Windows 11 22H2 → 25H2 (feature update)
- Installed KB5031234, on the date Windows recorded
- Updated 14 applications
- Endpoint protection lost
- Resolved: Host firewall …
Each entry is marked improved (green) or regressed (red), with before → after. When the exact time isn't known, it says "between Oct 21 18:00 and Oct 22 06:00": the two reports it happened between.
A customer
Change history in the customer's workspace shows the last 30 days at a glance ("12 improvements, 3 regressions") by area, small trend charts (score, open findings, vulnerabilities, devices patched, MFA), the latest regressions and the full log. Filter by period, area or direction, Load more, or export a CSV.
Leave the customer while on Change history (or open Change history in the portfolio) for the same page across all customers.
What's recorded
| Area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Feature updates, builds, Linux releases, support status moving to ending soon or unsupported |
| Updates | Pending updates that are now installed, new hotfixes |
| Software | Applications updated, downgraded, installed or removed; notable software (browsers, runtimes, security tools) gets its own entry |
| Protection | Protection lost or restored, Microsoft Defender turned off or on |
| Checks | A device check flipping between pass and fail |
| Findings | Opened, reopened and resolved |
Only proven changes
- A check that couldn't run is not counted as fixed.
- A cut-short software list is not counted as an uninstall.
- A device's first report is its starting point, not hundreds of "installs".
- Superseded or dropped updates aren't counted as installed.
Trends build up daily from when the feature was switched on for your workspace.
Reports and webhooks
- Progress (client-facing) and Internal progress cover the last 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. Changes about findings hidden from the customer are left out of the client report (see Report types).
- Regressions that matter (protection lost, an OS newly unsupported, Defender off with nothing else protecting the
device) send the
asset.regressedwebhook to endpoints that subscribe to it (see Webhooks).
