Add and manage customers
Add customers and prospects, import them from Syncro, convert, archive, unarchive and delete them.

On this page
Add a customer
Customers → Add customer (also on Home). Enter a name and a primary domain and choose the relationship: Prospect or Managed customer. Add more domains later in the customer's Attack surface → Domains & scope.
To run active scans, or to share a customer portal, verify the customer's domains first. See Scope, domain verification and authorization.
Import from Syncro
With Syncro connected (Settings → Integrations), Customers → Import from Syncro brings customers in: search, tick the ones you want, choose managed customer or prospect, and import. Their details, contacts and a suggested, unverified primary domain come over. A Syncro customer that matches one you already have (same name or domain) is linked rather than duplicated. See Syncro.
Relationships
| Relationship | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Prospect | Sales. Use passive assessments and the client-facing risk report. Prospects are left out of automatic monitoring. |
| Managed customer | You look after them. Scheduled monitoring, devices, patching and Microsoft 365 apply. |
| Paused | A managed customer you're not actively working on right now. Still listed and fully usable. |
| Archived | The relationship ended. Kept for history only. |
Edit details
Open the customer's Customer settings → Profile → Edit details to change the name, relationship, primary domain, website, industry, employee count, primary contact and notes. A new primary domain is also added to the customer's domains.
Convert a prospect
Customer settings → Profile → ⋯ → Convert to managed customer (prospects only). Confirm or complete their
details in the same dialog. The conversion date is recorded and shown next to the relationship, the change is
audited, your team gets a notification and the customer.converted webhook fires.
Archive and unarchive
⋯ → Archive… for a prospect who declined or a client who left. Pick a reason (Declined, Former client, Duplicate, or your own words). Archiving keeps every finding, assessment and report, and:
- hides the customer from the customer list, Home, the findings queue and the switcher (see them under Customers → Archived, or with Show archived in the switcher);
- pauses the customer's enabled schedules and blocks new assessments, schedules and reports;
- closes the customer portal for their users;
- frees the slot in your plan's customer limit.
Unarchive (same menu, or the Archived list) restores the previous relationship and reopens the portal if it was on. Schedules stay paused on purpose: turn them back on in the customer's Assessments → Schedules. Unarchiving needs a free customer slot in your plan.
Delete permanently
⋯ → Delete permanently… (owners and admins) erases the customer and all of its history. You type the customer's name to confirm, and the dialog offers Archive instead.
Plan limits
Your plan sets how many customers you can have. Archived customers don't count. When you're at the limit, adding, importing or unarchiving a customer is refused until you archive one or change plan (Settings → Billing).
