Your first 30 minutes
A practical checklist to set up your workspace, add a first customer and its devices, then start with each module you have.

Work through this list once, in order. Home shows a Get started checklist that ticks most of these off by itself as you go; you can dismiss it at any time. Steps 1 to 7 are the same whatever modules you have; step 8 is one short start per module.
1. Confirm your email
Click the link in the email you received when your account was created (or Resend in the banner). Until you confirm, you can sign in and look around, but you can't invite teammates, deploy agents, create API keys or send anything to customers.
2. Turn on two-factor authentication
Settings → Account security → Two-factor authentication. Scan the code with an authenticator app and store the recovery codes somewhere safe. Sensitive actions (approving scripts, revealing a stored password, a Microsoft 365 password reset or console) ask for it, and an owner or admin can require it for the whole team. See Account security and MFA.
3. Add your branding
Settings → Workspace & branding: upload your logo, pick a primary colour, add a footer and your support contact details, and choose US Letter or A4. PDFs and the customer portal use it. See Branding and sharing.
4. Add a customer
Customers → Add customer (also on Home). Enter the name and primary domain and choose Managed customer or Prospect. Settings → Import and export brings customers in from a CSV file, and if you use Syncro, Customers → Import from Syncro brings customers in with their contacts. See Add and manage customers.
5. Install RevoAgent on one device
In the customer's workspace open Customer settings → Install agent → Create installer link. Install on a single test computer first:
- Windows: download the EXE and double-click it, or run the short PowerShell command (
irm … | iex). - macOS or Linux: run the
curl … | sudo shcommand from the link page (one command for both).
The device appears under Devices within a minute or two of installing. See Install on Windows, Install on macOS and Install on Linux.
6. Link the customer's Microsoft 365
An owner or admin sets up your workspace's Microsoft 365 app once in Settings → Integrations → Microsoft 365. Then, in the customer's Customer settings → Integrations, generate a consent link and send it to their Global Administrator. The tenant is linked once for every module: its people become contacts and its licences are counted, whatever modules you have. See Link a customer's Microsoft 365 tenant.
7. Invite a teammate
Settings → Team, then invite a team member. Pick the least role that does the job: technicians do day-to-day work, analysts are read-only. See Roles and permissions.
After you click Send invitation, Revo confirms whether the invitation email went out and shows the invitation link. The person gets an email with a link to set their password and sign in; the link works once and expires after 7 days. If the email doesn't arrive (ask them to check junk or spam), copy the link and send it yourself. A pending invitation can be resent or revoked from the team list.
8. Start with each module you have
Settings → Modules shows which modules your workspace has. For each one:
- RevoRMM: open Policies and check the workspace policy's monitors, then Monitoring for the device you installed. See Monitoring.
- RevoPSA: open Tickets and create one for the customer, then Contracts for what they pay you. See The service desk.
- RevoDocs: open Documentation and write the customer's first page or network record. See RevoDocs.
- RevoCloud: open Microsoft 365 for the customer you linked in step 6: users, licences, admins and what needs attention. See RevoCloud.
- RevoSecure: open Assessments → New assessment, choose External and keep Passive mode (public information only, no permission needed from the customer), then set a weekly schedule. When it's done, generate a Risk assessment report. See External assessments and Report types.
What next
- Review the customer's Overview: each module adds its own section, and Customize reorders them.
- Turn on the notifications you want; everything is off until you opt in.
- Shape the sidebar to the areas you use (Customize the sidebar in its menu), and read Finding your way around for shortcuts.
