Modules and setup
Which capabilities are active for your workspace and each customer, and how the navigation adapts to them.
Updated
A module is one capability or data source: external assessments, the dark web scan, Microsoft 365, devices, patching, ThreatLocker, code, PSA, Syncro, the AI analyst, reports and remediation. A module is active for a customer when it has data or a working connection for that customer.
States
| State | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Has data or a working connection | Nothing |
| Needs setup | Started but not finished, for example a Microsoft 365 app with no customer connected | Follow the setup link |
| Available | Not used yet | Set it up if it's useful for this customer |
| Error | The connection or last sync failed | Open the module's settings; the detail says what failed |
| Disabled | Turned off | Turn it back on in settings |
Each module also carries a one-line detail (for example "3 tenants connected, last sync 2h ago") and a link to where it's set up, usually the workspace's Settings → Integrations or the customer's Customer settings → Integrations.
How the navigation uses modules
- Inactive areas are hidden from the sidebar so it only shows what's in use. Show inactive brings them back.
- Add capabilities lists the modules you can still set up, with a link to each.
- Settings, Help & docs and Support are never hidden.
- If RevoSecure can't work out which modules are active, it shows everything. A failed check never hides a feature.
Modules are worked out per customer inside a customer's workspace, and for the whole workspace in the portfolio: there, a customer module is active when it's active for at least one customer ("Active for 3 of 12 customers"), and a workspace connection (ThreatLocker, PSA, Syncro, AI) when the connection works. Customer-portal users only see their own customer's modules, without the details.
Remediation is active when agent remediation is switched on in the customer's remediation policy (in the portfolio: for at least one customer). It's available while it's off, because it's opt-in, and the Agent fixes area appears once it's on.
